Ready, Set,...Go!
The contract for moving bath house 4 from the beach to its new location on St. Joseph Sound has been awarded to Dolphin Constructors. Work should begin on January 10, 2005. They have 120 days to substantial completion plus another 30 additional days for punch list items.

2/4/05: The contractor begins driving the pilings at the new site.

2/22/05: The pilings are ready and the lift station has been started. A lift station is a pump that pushes wastewater to a point in the sewer system at which gravity can take over the flow to a treatment facility.

3/16/05: The supporting cross pieces are almost complete.

3/30/05: The roadways have been cleared and the beams completed. The bath house 4 decking has been removed. Note the extensive corrosion on the existing hardware.
